Our Process
- Our process includes fabricating aluminum substrate from coils and extrusions.
- Signs messages are created by applying reflective cutout letters, cuttable films, silkscreen, and digital prints to reflective or vinyl backgrounds.
- We utilize CNC flatbed plotters and routers, specialized punching equipment and coil line, aluminum conversion coating spray line, and reflective or vinyl squeeze roll applicators.
- Signs can be delivered crated via flatbed trucks or sequenced in order of the customer’s installation plan on specialized trailers for larger projects.
SUPPLYING YOUR SIGNING NEEDS
Guide Signs
Rocal is capable of producing any of the various reinforced guide sign panels as specified by different state and agency standards throughout North America. Signs are typically large and contain internal or external supports. Extruded, extrusheet, increment, and formed sign products are available.
Warning / Regulatory Signs
Sign messages are typically defined by the MUTCD. Rocal can meet each state or agency's unique specifications for substrate thickness, alloy type, mounting procedures, fasteners, stiffeners, and reflective material.
Specialty Signs
These can include welcome/boundary signs, airport signs, emergency & evacuation routes, specific services, or other state/agency informational signs. Specialty signs can require additional graphic design and production. Digital printers and plotters enable Rocal's staff to exceed designer expectations.
Digital Printing
We use a top-of-the-line Avery Dennison Traffic Jet Pro™ to provide in-house digital printing capabilities. Utilizing OL-1000 Protective Overlay Films along with Avery Dennison reflective sheeting provides vandal resistance and a sheeting warranty of up to 15 years dependent upon type of sheeting used.
Engineering & Design
Our engineering / design team has extensive experience in designing highway signs to meet appropriate federal, state, and agency specifications. CAD drawings containing all production details are created for each non-standard sign.
Components & Accessories
Rocal offers a full line of hardware, components, posts, and other signage accessories to meet state and agency specifications to help complete your project. If we don't stock an item we can assist in finding a vendor to meet your needs.
Ease of Delivery
Rocal possesses a fleet of specialized trailers that can be utilized on larger guide sign projects. We work with our customers to sequence signs in order of installation locations to help simplify the install process.
Florida Stored Materials
Projects can be subject to delays and alterations of start dates. Rocal's additional facility in Fort Pierce, Florida allows contractors to file for stored material payments so signs can be delivered when they need to be installed.
